Outsourcing Your Business

3 reasons to start outsourcing in your business

If you have built a business around your specific skillset or you are a little bit of a perfectionist, handing over tasks to someone else might be difficult. With that being said, not outsourcing could be draining your time and energy and hindering the growth of your business.

Here are three reasons to start outsourcing right now!

  1. You have developed a system for at least some of the tasks you do.If this is you, please congratulate yourself because this is a momentous step in building your business. Developing a clear process for implementing your goals is huge and separates entrepreneurs from employees.
Is it work that someone else can complete? Just because you can do something does not mean you have the time to complete it. The more time spent on these repetitive, sometimes tedious, tasks means less time spent building your clientele and your business. It comes down to the difference between working on your business or working in your business. Which would you rather do?

  1. You are doing tasks that are not in your area of expertise. If you are doing things which are not in your zone of genius, chances are it’s costing you a lot more money than it would to just outsource them. It is stopping you from doing bigger things. For example, if you are spending hours fiddling with social media graphics and you’re not enjoying it, find a graphic designer or an assistant who can provide you with a set of images to use.

  1. VACAY, baby! You would like to go on vacation or spend more time with your family while knowing that your business is being taken care of and that someone is replying to queries etc. This is partly why you became a business owner, right? To have the freedom to take off when you need it.

If this is you, start now even if you do not want time off yet. You never know what is around the corner. If you fall sick or need to take time off for family reasons, you do not want to be scrambling to find someone or lose your clients because you cannot meet their needs.

Remember, when you do start outsourcing, you can do it at your own pace. Find an assistant that works with you! Communicating your business needs to someone else takes practice to get right.
